It’s Tuesday, May 21, & Moon is in Libra, in the starspace or nakshatra called Swati. Libra is the great recalibrator when it comes to relationships or has the potential to be if we are honest with ourselves & those we are in partnership with. Libra invites us to see & investigate disharmony, where we & the other(s) are out of alignment. We can right any misalignment consciously, through dialogue, or unconsciously, by, say, picking a fight that doesn’t need to be picked just to throw everything so out of kilter the imbalance must be addressed.
“Deep relationships will periodically need intentional rebalancing so that both people feel supported in their power & happiness. what worked before may not work well now b/c you have both grown so much. Be honest about what you need so you can create a more nourishing union.”—yung pueblo
Swati is ruled by Vayu, God of the winds & hanuman’s dad, & libra is an air sign. Air is good for communication (like, um, with partners) & for networking. And air goes where it wants to – trying to wrest control over it is like herding cats. Hanuman famously harnessed the air element within him, his inner winds, aka prana, his life force, in order to make the impossible—leaping across an ocean! —possible. Especially b/c Tuesday is hanuman’s day, it’s a good day to focus, focus, focus so we can, like hanuman, achieve our goals.
It’s the fourteenth lunar day (tithi), the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon, which is an intense one, as we are feeling nearly full to bursting along with the moon. This tithi is considered inauspicious for material, external pursuits but awesome for ego purification, for spiritual realignment. it’s best to turn inward & focus on our highest purpose, to let go of the stories our small-self self likes to tell us to keep us, well, small.
Tuesday is ruled by Mars, who is our warrior, our fighting, spirit, & is hanging out way close to Rahu in Pisces right now. Rahu distorts, exaggerates, encourages action, & acting from a place of delusion is never a good idea, is it? it’s important to remember that mars was born to defend, especially to defend those who can’t defend themselves, who are disempowered. he is not meant to be the aggressor.
And that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
