It’s Monday, October 7, & Moon is in Scorpio, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Anuradha. Spoiler alert: Scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our worst fears & paranoias. It’s where we can get tossed about on the dark, choppy emotionally fraught waters of our subconsciousness & lose our sense of direction, of which way is up, as happens when we get sucked under by a ginormous wave. The key is to stay calm, to remember that thoughts can’t hurt us, that they are fleeting, will disappear of their own accord if we don’t give them too much oxygen. The dharma teacher who facilitated my recent meditation retreat said our thoughts are random, arise for no reason. I disagree (& I’ll spare you a digression about the nature of karma), but what I do agree with him about is that while we can’t control our thoughts, or emotions (& in this case our thoughts are how we describe what we’re feeling), what we can control is how we respond to what arises. So do try to keep your head above water & don’t forget to breathe!
Anuradha is the star of devotion. It is ruled by Mitra, the greatest, ‘goodest’ friend ever.
It’s the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waxing moon, which gives us the power to nourish our creativity & ourselves &/or others, to bring comfort or get some, do a little self-healing, self-care by being gentle with ourselves.
Monday is ruled by the Moon, so Monday is always a good day to connect to & trust our feeling nature, our heart-knowing, our intuition, our instinct to focus on unity rather than division, on our sameness rather than our differences. But/& Moon is debilitated in Scorpio, meaning we may have to work harder to go high rather than low, to go bright rather than dark. yes, we can!
And that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
