Be the Change You Want to See in the World
It’s Monday, September 16, & Moon is in Aquarius, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Shatabhishak. Aquarius vibrates with the frequency of our humanitarianism, of wanting to do something to improve the world around us, whether that world is our community or country or the whole dang planet. Whether that means protesting to bring more attention to an issue close to our heart or donating money to a cause or volunteering at a soup kitchen, it’s up to we the people to heal what’s sick, fix what’s broke, b/c it’s at the grass-roots, not government level that change happens.
“Politics is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex.”—Frank Zappa
Shatabhishak can be translated as 100 medicines or 100 poisons & is the star of healing, & of thinking outside the box if necessary, even using poison to heal, as homeopathy does. sometimes it takes going to myriad allopathic doctors, going the pharma route before discovering that acupuncture or nutritional counseling or craniosacral therapy is what does the trick—or vice versa—or that it’s both/&.
It’s the fourteenth lunar day (tithi), the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon, which means Full Moon alert for tomorrow, & we get an eclipse as bonus to kick off the fall eclipse season! We may be feeling as full to bursting as Moon is, may feel the need to release something, that something has to give. With Mars gazing at moon from Gemini, we may feel agitated/frustrated, so let’s try not to release pressure by getting angry or violent.
Monday is ruled by the Moon, who gives us the ability to think with our heart, not our head, to know by feeling, which isn’t always easy.
“The longest journey you will make in your life is from your head to your heart.”—Sioux saying
Bonus track: Sun inched into virgo early today, bringing our attention to health & healing, control & details for the next month. sun is our soul(ar) battery & it takes at least a day for him to get settled, plug back in. while he’s doing so we may feel as if we, too, are unplugged, so it’s a good day to cut ourselves some slack, lower our expectations, maybe get ahead of the full moon by pondering how far we’ve come since we set new moon intentions two weeks ago, what’s still left to do.
And that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
