It’s Friday, May 3, & moon is in Aquarius, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Shatabhishak until midday, then Purvabhadra.
Under the sway of Aquarius we realize that whatever we think, feel, want, say or do has an energetic frequency that ripples outward outward outward, affecting the environment around us, animate & inanimate, positively or negatively, depending. like butterflies whose wingbeats can cause a hurricane, our small, seemingly insignificant thoughts or actions can have a significant impact on the world. So let’s try to keep our vibration high, yes? We have no idea how the tiniest, albeit high-minded action – holding a door open for someone, letting a driver into our clogged line of traffic, smiling at a stranger, giving money to a homeless person – might raise someone’s vibration & get passed on.
Shatabhishak invites us to think outside the box to become our own healers rather than offload our bodily sovereignty. I mean, who knows our bodies better than we do? healing of all kinds is on the table today. Will you be healed, or will you heal others, or maybe it’s both/& – communal healing that’s needed. Purvabhadra brings, or can bring if we’re ready, if we’ve been doing our practices, an “aha!” moment regarding the true nature of reality, a glimpse of what is eternal.
“The process of yoga is working when, all of a sudden, one starts to see infinity,” said ashtanga teacher Richard Freeman. How are your practices going?
It’s the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waning moon, until almost midday, then the eleventh. So the morning supports us in doing our dharma, perfecting the practice of being our most authentic self, the afternoon in doing spiritual practices, like fasting & meditation. Both tithi’s entail being fully present.
“Most humans are never fully present in the now, b/c unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.”—Eckhart Tolle
Friday is ruled by Venus, planet of love & other earthly delights.
“Love should be like breathing. it should be just a quality in you: wherever you are, or even if you are alone, love goes on overflowing from you.”—Osho
Or as Amma says, love isn’t an emotion, it’s a flow.
And that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
Jyotish, Vedic astrology, is the science of light, which helps you to shine more light on your life.
