Authenticity Is the Best (Not!) Kept Beauty Secret

Written by Jamie Epstein

It’s Friday, October 18, & Moon is in Aries, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Bharani. Aries, as I mentioned yesterday, vibrates with the frequency of beginning again, starting over, reinventing ourselves, & with the power of the ginormous Full Moon there yesterday, we are probs (or is it just me?!) feeling the superheavy-booster love that space x’s starship did the other day.

What would you do, who would you be if you didn’t care what anyone thought? What are you hiding from the world? What gifts are you denying?

“Be weird. be random. Be who you are, b/c you never know who would love the person you hide.”—Alan Watts

Bharani is derived from the Sanskrit verb that means “to bear,” as in bearing children, which entails bearing the consequences of them—feeding & clothing them, dealing with their tantrums, paying for college. This asterism brings a lesson about dealing with the consequences of our creativity. How many rockets did space X launch before they got it right, stuck the landing? A setback is not necessarily an excuse to give up, parenting is not a perfect science, but an opportunity to go back to the drawing board & if our mistakes impact others to make amends.

It’s the second lunar day (tithi), the second phase of the waning moon, which allows us to take pride in what we mean to manifest, gives us the confidence to believe in ourselves. But don’t forget that pride has a downside, it goeth before a fall, so let’s do keep our egos in check.

Friday is ruled by Venus, planet of love & relationships & other earthly pleasures, like art & nature, so Friday is always a great good day to IN-joy our earthly, embodied existence. But/& Venus is hanging out these days in Scorpio. Scorpio is the opposite of superficial; Scorpio doesn’t do frivolous cocktail chatter, prefers the deep one-on-one. So it’s also a great good time to get under the hood of our relationships, to take our creativity to the next level, & to take off any veils that might be hiding the beauty of who we really are, b/c our authenticity is what truly magnetizes others to us, is the glue that make relationships stick.

Bonus Track: Bharani + second tithi + Venus = lots of auspiciousness, so don’t let that juju go to waste!

And that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
